This is the Woman Identified Woman Manifesto written in 1970 by the RADICALESBIANS. It was one of the first written responses to the homophobia that plagued the second wave feminist movement. It helped a lot of women in the movement recognize the ways that lesbian and bisexual women were being marginalized and made to feel like somehow their sexuality was a threat to the movement. The RADICALESBIANS basically just took over the Second Congress to Unite Woman and distributed the manifesto and got people to talk about these issues. Needless to say these women were BADASS.
It’s relatively short and a really important part of our story. Happy reading :)
